Different uses of lanyards

A lanyard is a cord or strap that is worn around the neck, arm, waist or wrist to hold items such as identification badges, keys, whistles or other small objects. Lanyards when worn around the wrist, these are often referred to as a “wristlet”. These have become extremely popular for their ability to hold important objects close at hand while simultaneously keeping hands free.

Lanyards can also be used to carry pens and small gadgets such as cell phones, eye glasses, etc. There are different types of lanyards available made with different materials such as nylon, polyester, rope, beaded lanyards, lace, custom printed lanyards and decorative lanyards.

The lanyards are widely used almost everywhere by businesses, hospitals, schools, at special events, conventions and many other recreational events. Lanyards are also available in different colors and designs with different hardware attached at the bottom to hold name badges, whistles or the like.

The lanyards are typically made of cord, nylon, cotton or polyester twill. The cord type lanyards are less expensive. The strap-type lanyards are made of cotton, nylon, poly twill and are often printed with company name, team name, product or logo.

There is a huge variety of lanyards which you can choose from. Before opting to buy any lanyard, do some analysis of your needs and budget and then consider investing in them.
